Counselling & Psychotherapy Training Institute - Academic Qualifications

CPTI provide a number of courses leading to an academic qualification. To achieve this CPTI works with two universities; Queen Margaret University (QMU) and Napier University, both in Edinburgh.

Brief Intervention Psychological Therapies Modules
The Brief Intervention Psychological Therapies programme is modular and students can register for a single module which will carry dual outcome credits at both graduate and post graduate levels.

For those seeking a qualification a PG Certificate is available on completion of one year of the programme and a PG Diploma on completion of a second year. An MSc is awarded for completion of a dissertation in the third year. These awards are made by Napier University subject to validation. For students taking the course to gain an award there are practice and supervision requirements over and above the taught elements of the course.
