Brief Intervention Psychological Therapies The BIPT training programme is constructed on a modular basis and it is possible to undertake individual modules with dual outcome credits at graduate or post graduate levels. Those wishing to obtain PG certificate, Diploma or the MSc follow a taught course with additional requirements for practice and supervision; MSc entrants complete the course by preparing and submitting a dissertation. The core training is over two years with a third year for completion of the master’s dissertation. The training is flexible incorporating taught core modules in year one and a choice of taught and e modules in year two. Students select from modules that offer an in depth extension to the core modalities taught in year one, that introduce other modalities and cover research methods. Entry is open to those with current counselling experience, and workers in health, HR and social work. A first degree is a normal entry criterion for applicants entering for the PG Certificate and Diploma or the MSc, applications will also be considered from those with appropriate life and work experience.
