Counselling & Psychotherapy Training Institute - Intro. Courses & CPD

Continuing Professional Development Courses (CPD)

CPD Courses
Each year CPTI run a series of one and two day CPD courses drawn from a revolving menu; many courses carry credits at masters level, all are certificated by CPTI. Courses have a number of objectives: in general the courses provide an opportunity to look at the theory and application of specific areas of practice.

Whilst primarily run for counsellors and psychotherapists, many courses have a broader application and are open to other professionals. The current year programme, time table and a booking form can be downloaded, see the CPD 2008-9 Programme and CPD Booking Form

For TA Counselling and Psychotherapy MSc Students, 4 days of CPD form part of the Critical Applications double module. The Introduction to Psychiatric Practice may be counted towards the psychiatric practice requirement for psychotherapy trainees.
